You will receive your certificate at the end of your successful completion of the course.  The certificate is provided in almost right away.

I am currently certified, do I have to pay for the full course again?

If you have a current certificate in Standard First Aid with CPR (Level C or Level HCP), you are eligible for a re-certification course.

The cost for re-certification courses are lower than the cost for full courses.

What are the pre-requisites for the re-certification courses?

You must have a current Standard First Aid certification card from the Canadian Red Cross. Bring it to class with you.
The card must not be expired.
The last Standard First Aid class you completed must be the full course. If it was a re-certification course, you will need to take the full course now. The Canadian Red Cross does not permit participants to take back to back re-certifications.

What is Level C CPR?

Level C CPR includes the CPR skills for adult casualties, children, and infants.  It also teaches 2-person rescues, and provides certification for public access Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.).  Level C CPR is sometimes called Basic Rescuer CPR.  Nursing students will recognize this course as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

What are your classes like?

Our classes are set in a casual, interactive learning environment.  Class time is spent practising the skills through working with partners, groups, and the CPR manikins.  It is a very hands-on approach which helps you to understand the topics more easily.  Students in our courses include people of all ages, skills and interest levels.

Is learning first aid and CPR difficult?

The goal of the Canadian Red Cross is to provide first aid training to every person in Canada.  Vital CPR - First Aid Training strives for the same goal.  Our courses teach basic steps that can be applied to any emergency situation.  We make learning the skills easier by reinforcing the key concepts and by providing lots of class time for hands-on practice.  We want you to succeed!
